I didn't really make many choices in regards to coding/design, it was mainly just trying to follow best practices. Majority of the code was in the controllers, retrieving/saving data to and from the database and sending that information off via JSON. I would design a feature in the front-end, get everything there working and then implement whatever was needed in the back end.
